Assistances Provided

  • The International Travel Grant (ITG) Scheme is an assistance provided to artists to participate in international festivals where at least 5 countries are participating.
  • The grant up to a ceiling of Rs 250,000 is provided to artists/group of artists to refund the cost of return economy air tickets by the most economical route supported by at least three quotations from registered Travel Agencies.
  • Assistance is limited to three times per applicant, with a 2-year gap after the first grant and a 3-year gap after the second.
  • For the financial year 2024/2025 as at date, a total of four applicants benefited from this scheme, with the total disbursement amounting to Rs 631,100.

  • The International Competition Scheme is an assistance provided to artists to participate in competitions where at least 5 countries are participating.
  • The grant up to a ceiling of Rs 200,000 is provided to artists/group of artists to refund the cost of return economy air tickets by the most economical route supported by at least three quotations from registered Travel Agencies.
  • Artists may benefit under this scheme a maximum of three times in their lifetime, with a minimum interval of two years after receiving the first grant and three years after receiving the second grant.
  • For the financial year 2024/2025 as at date, two applicants benefited from this scheme, with the total disbursement amounting to Rs 81,800.

  • Assistance to the tune of Rs 150,000 for participation in International Award Ceremonies is provided to facilitate the participation of artists who have been nominated in International Award Ceremonies in recognition of their outstanding performances on the international scene.
  • The grant up to a ceiling of Rs 150,000 is provided to artists/group of artists to refund the cost of return economy air tickets by the most economical route supported by at least three quotations from registered Travel Agencies.
  • Artists may benefit under this scheme a maximum of three times in their lifetime, with a minimum interval of two years after receiving the first grant and three years after receiving the second grant.
  • For the financial year 2024/2025, one applicant benefited from this scheme, with the total disbursement amounting to Rs 48,273.
