The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, warmly received a delegation from the Arts and Culture Commission of Rodrigues at his office.

The meeting focused on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost artistic exchanges, preserve shared heritage, and create more cultural opportunities for Rodrigues’ youth.

Discussions also covered plans to revitalize the Centre de Lecture et d’Animation Culturelle, including the introduction of new music and arts courses to better support the local community. Additionally, solutions to address logistical challenges faced by MASA in Rodrigues were explored.

Minister Gondeea expressed confidence that this strengthened collaboration will open new cultural horizons for both Rodrigues and Mauritius.
