Strengthening Cultural Ties: Gabonese Minister of Arts and Culture Meets Mauritian Counterpart
The Minister of Arts and Culture of Gabon, Dr Armande Longo-Moulengui, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Arts and Culture of Mauritius, Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, OSK.
During their discussions, both Ministers highlighted the strong cultural and economic ties between Mauritius and Gabon, and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation.
Minister Mahendra Gondeea recalled the existence of a draft agreement dating back to 2014, aimed at reinforcing economic relations and opening new avenues of collaboration in arts and culture. He underlined that the finalisation of this agreement remains a priority for both nations, as it would unlock fresh opportunities for exchange and partnership.
Dr Longo-Moulengui, for her part, expressed her wish to see the agreement formalised soon. She also welcomed the opportunity to explore new areas of cooperation with Mauritius, emphasising that closer ties would contribute to the enrichment of cultural exchange and mutual development.
