Minister and Junior Minister Attend Festival Kreol Rodrigues 2025 as Chief Guests
As part of Festival Kreol Rodrigues 2025, the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Hon, Mahendra Gondeea, OSK, together with Junior Minister Mrs Véronique Leu Govind, attended the event as Chief Guests, reaffirming the Ministry’s support for the promotion of Creole culture and Rodriguan artistic expression.
Throughout the festival, they engaged closely with Rodriguan artists, listening to their stories, sharing their emotions and celebrating their pride. He had the privilege of attending the evening of storytelling, poetry and humour, where authentic and emerging talents were revealed.
The Minister also experienced the rhythms of the séga tambour, admired the passion displayed during the regatta festival, and witnessed the intensity of the grand closing concert, which brought the entire community together in a shared energy of unity and celebration.
Expressing his gratitude, Hon. Mahedra Gondeea, OSK, stated the Rodrigues’ culture is a true treasure. As Minister of Arts and Culture, he reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting promoting and amplifying the voices of all those who keep this cultural heritage alive.
