Strengthening Cultural Diversity Through the Arabic Language 

The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, OSK, had the honour of attending the ceremony marking World Arabic Language Day, organised by the Arabic Speaking Union which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Arts and Culture.

In his speech, the Minister of Arts and Culture extended his sincere thanks to the President and Board Members of the Arabic Speaking Union for their dedication, vision, and commitment to promoting the Arabic language of poetry, knowledge, and civilisation that forms an integral part of Mauritius’ rich cultural mosaic.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding, promoting, and celebrating all cultural expressions that strengthen unity in diversity and reflect the beauty of the country’s shared heritage.
