Final Session of the National Convention on Arts and Culture Held in Rodrigues
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon Mahendra Gondeea, OSK, together with Junior Minister Mrs Véronique Leu Govind, travelled to Rodrigues to engage directly with local artists, with the objective of listening, understanding and experiencing firsthand the realities of the Rodriguan cultural community.
During the 10th and final session of the National Convention on Arts and Culture, Rodriguan artists demonstrated their commitment to promoting their heritage.
Looking ahead, the Ministry will compile all recommendations and proposals gathered throughout the ten sessions held nationwide. These contributions will be submitted to the National Arts Open Commission which will be established shortly. The Commission will be tasked with developing a Strategic Plan guide the growth and structuring of the cultural sector, both in the short and long term.
