National Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration Held at Bois-Chéri–Grand-Bois
The National Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration was held at Bois-Chéri–Grand-Bois, bringing together members of the Marathi community and the public in an atmosphere of spirituality, sharing and fraternity.
The celebration highlighted the richness of Mauritius’ cultural heritage and the importance of preserving and transmitting traditions that have been passed down through generations.
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, attended the national celebration and underscored the important role played by cultural and religious traditions in bringing people together and contributing to the diversity of Mauritian society.
The event was organised with the collaboration of the Mauritius Marathi Mandali Federation, the Mauritius Marathi Cultural Centre Trust, the Marathi Speaking Union and the Bois-Chéri–Grand-Bois Marathi Mandali.
