Cultural Desk: Final Consultations with Key Stakeholders
The Ministry of Arts and Culture continues to make steady progress on the Cultural Desk project, a major initiative aimed at simplifying procedures in the cultural sector and supporting artists and event organisers. This project is also highlighted in the Government Programme 2025–2029 as part of ongoing reforms in Mauritius’ cultural landscape.
The Ministry has engaged in a series of consultations with relevant authorities to ensure that the Cultural Desk will operate efficiently and meet the needs of all stakeholders once launched.
As part of this process, a working meeting was recently held with Hon. Ranjiv Woochit, Minister of Local Government, Hon. Fawzi Allymun, Junior Minister, and representatives of local authorities. The discussions focused on resolving operational issues and strengthening coordination to ensure a smooth transition as the platform enters its final development phase.
