A Night of Recognition for Mauritian Artistic Excellence
The Ministry of Arts and Culture hosted a memorable evening at the Serge Constantin Théâtre with the presentation of the Artist Excellence & Lifetime Achievement Awards 2025, celebrating Mauritian artists whose talent, dedication and achievements have contributed to the promotion of the nation’s culture both locally and internationally.
The Artist Excellence Awards 2025 were presented to Amarnath Hosany, the late Nicolas Couronne, Natacha Appanah, Nikhil and the Gang, Ebanez Music, Pascal Lamarque (Elpassii) and The Select Singers in recognition of their outstanding achievements and international acclaim.
The ceremony also honoured distinguished cultural figures through the Lifetime Achievement Awards. Recipients included Brahms Mahadea, Yves David, Barlen Pyamootoo, Idriss Lallmahomed, Marie Josée Clency and Joseph Nicolas Emilien, whose lifelong contributions have enriched Mauritius’ artistic and cultural landscape
