Dragon Boat Festival Celebrated at the Caudan Waterfront

The Dragon Boat Festival was celebrated in a vibrant atmosphere at the Caudan Waterfront, bringing together members of the public for a day filled with culture, tradition and sporting spirit.

Organised by the Ministry of Arts and Culture in collaboration with its partners, the event featured a rich programme of activities, including traditional songs and dances, alongside the much-anticipated dragon boat races which captivated spectators throughout the day.

The Minister of Arts and Culture, Hon. Mahendra Gondeea, attended the celebration and highlighted the importance of such cultural events in showcasing the richness of Mauritius’ diversity and bringing communities closer together.

The colourful performances and dragon boat races provided an opportunity for the public to discover and appreciate an important cultural tradition while celebrating the values of teamwork, discipline and unity.
